BRRRR! It is so cold outside and the world is covered in a blanket of snow - so I am staying warm and planning for a year of fun and contests for my blogging friends.
The first contest is going to start off with a fabulous prize! My knitting friends might want to choose these Denise Interchangeable Knitting Needles. Knitters everywhere know that these needles are wonderful and practical. My knitting life changed when I found these needles - you will LOVE them.
I am just realizing as I look at this picture that 2 of the pink cables are missing as they are in use in my projects. Not to worry - the winners set will be complete and brand new as I will ship it from the manufacturer straight to your door!.
For my friends who do not knit (How can that be?) - then the prize will be one of my lovely knitted birds nests. Just looking at this little nest will bring thoughts of spring to your soul! The little nest will be complete with 2 little bird eggs. These little nests are made from my knitting stash - so no two are alike. You will love the one I am making for you now!
Just follow the blog from now until February 12. Leave a comment on any or all of the postings between today and February 12 - you can enter as often as you want. I will randomly choose a posting and a winner at noon on that date and will post your name on the blog. You will have 3 days to contact me and give me your address. The winner can choose between the Knitting needles or the knitted birds nest. If the nest is chosen - then I will have another contest specifically geared towards Knitters to give away the Needles.
For my blogging friends who do not live in the United States - not to worry. I will deliver these prizes any where in the world.
This is going to be a year of fun with lots of contests and great prizes. So follow along in this blogging adventure---
Tell all your friends about the contest and send them to this blog!

It would seem that just being a NICU nurse would use up all your energy. Do you ever sleep??!! The needles are intriguing. Perhaps having a set of them would be just the motivation I need to become the knitter I would love to be. Happy New Year and many blessings...dee carney P.S. I too love The Biltmore

Hi Vicki...
ReplyDeleteI was so excited when I found your giveaway through the blog of another. My goal this year is to learn to knit. I want to learn so badly. I have a new grandbaby coming in June and I want to learn to make a simple blanket.
If I win, the needles are coming to me, even tho I truly love the nests, I so want to learn. I have some really big needles I have been trying to learn with, not doing very good with them, but I just want to learn a basic stitch.
Do you think there is hope for me. I actually wrote my Pink Saturday post about it 2 weeks ago. I even bought a bag. I had several people post some ideas, but it hasn't helped so far. Are there any books or web sites that you could recommend? I thought I would check with JoAnn's fabrics, closest to me and see if they had anyone teaching a class soon, but sadly they do not. I am back to square one.
Many thanks in advance for any advice, as scrolling through your blog, I see you have knitting projects with you wherever you go. Looks like you had a beautiful blue knitting project over a chair at the beach. So elegant sweetie. So elegant.
Country hugs, Sherry

Ohhhhhhhhhhh - no access to a computer when I was out of town. But I'm back now and still lovin' those nests.
ReplyDeleteYour nest are enchanting! This would be a hard choice. I have a 4 month old whose nursery I decorated with birds. But I also want to start knitting more to make him things and things for the house that will be part of his memories...might have to deliberate on this one while I day dream. Thanks for the fun opportunity!

ReplyDeleteThis contest is so much fun - I gotta tell you. I like that there's a lot of time between the initial post and the draw-date. AND, the fact that we're allowed to post a comment every day ... this will (or may not!) increase my chance to win these nests. I absolutely ADORE them.
ReplyDeleteAs we speak I can hear a mamma bird out there chirping right now. I think she's looking for a nest for her little babies. I need a nest!
ReplyDeleteOops - I forgot to sign my name to the post above (you know - the one where mamma bird is chirping!)
