Baby Love ~~~ (6 weeks old)

Perfect love does not come until you have grandchildren~~~

We spent this afternoon with baby Keri. Since our last visit she has already changed so much! She is now 6 weeks old and weighs about 12 pounds.

She is a little snuggle baby and loves to be rocked. There is nothing more wonderful than the feeling of a little one all snuggled into your arms.

When she sleeps she makes little baby cooing noises - my favorite sound in the whole world. After taking care of babies for 33 years, I can tell you that those little coos that babies make in their sleep is the most precious sound that I have ever heard.

She is developing a personality and she loves to watch her mobile. She is mesmerized by things that she sees now~~~

She seems to watch everything and she loves to listen to her gb talk to her. (I think she understands everything I say to her! Do you think that she will remember that I have promised her the moon just as soon as she learns to say gb?)

She even smiles - sometimes! Not on command - but definitely a smile! Baby smiles are so funny!

Papaw takes his turn at rocking the baby. When I checked in on them - the wrong one seemed to be asleep!

Now they are both asleep! (Can you see that little scratch on her face - she did that to herself!) Her first boo boo!

When she learns to say Papaw - this guy is a goner!

They spent the entire afternoon - like this. We got to baby sit for a little bit. They rocked - and I watched! Next time I am leaving this guy at home. He is a baby snuggle hogger!

Photo shoot time! (gb loves to do this!) My cousin Cheri made this adorable baby cocoon and matching blanket for little Keri Beth. Today was Cheri's birthday - so we did a little photo shoot and sent some pictures to her. "Happy Birthday to Cheri - from Keri Beth".

Love those funny faces. This is her movie star pout!

Enough already! How many pictures is this gb going to take of me!

We took Keri's Mommy and Daddy out to dinner this evening. This was her first time to go "out on the town"! She was wide awake for the longest time - everything was new - so much to see! She was such a good little girl!

All that looking around wears you out when you are just a baby! After a bit of being wide awake ~~~ she spent the rest of the evening just like this! (in her gb's lap!) I am in love~~~

Vicki

  6. Hi Vicki
Baby Keri is absolutely adorable. You must be so proud. She really is a cutie. My daughter used to love sleeping like that on her Dad's front. She sometimes would get a button printed into her cheek!
I loved the last picture of you and Keri together that's such a beautiful picture.

  9. Oh my Vicki, don't you just want to sit down all day long holding your cute sweetheart! I know I did so the first weeks with all my babies. Just sitting on the couch with my baby sleeping on my tummy. Sigh... I loved those moments!

How lucky you are. Enjoy every single minute you can spend with her - they do grow much too fast. We had a wonderful short trip to Bavaria. The Chiemsee is really beautiful. 26. She is so precious. It doesn't seem like she should be that old already. Our boys were like her in the respect of liking to be rocked. I still rock them at times. Just wait she will definitely have papa and grandma wrapped around her little finger. Just love them and it is grandparents right to spoil them and send them home. Have a wonderful weekend. Your Missouri Friend.
