The big day is finally HERE!! I have been overwhelmed with the amazing responses and your sweet words about the nests. To date, there were 275 entries in this contest - it is almost unbelievable that so many people would want to own one of my little nest creations~~
I was recently commissioned by one of our local photographers to create a baby photo prop - a nest/cocoon that could be used to take photos of newborn babies. Always up for a new challenge I agreed to try my hand at creating a really BIG nest!
The nest measures a circumference of 32 inches and is 7 inches tall. It stretches to allow a newborn baby to lay inside for photos. The stretched cocoon measurements are approximately 23-24 inches in length. There is plenty of room for an infant to lay comfortably.

Maddy girl used this baby photo prop nest to hold all the entries in the contest. We placed numbers 1-275 in this BIG nest!
First - she had to mix up all the numbers really good! (That's her favorite part! ) At least she doesn't dump all the numbers out anymore! No more chasing those wind blown pieces of paper across the yard!
She said, "here comes the winner Aunt Vicki~~"! (Maddy girl is wearing a new outfit that her Auntie Vicki gave her for Easter. Doesn't she look pretty?)
She had a grand time playing with this nest! She was all about drawing a winner from this "big" nest!

For those of you who wanted to win - (but didn't) - there will be more nest give aways later this year I promise!
These photography nest/cocoons will be in my Etsy shop soon. They can be purchased by special order only and you will need to allow a minimum of 3 weeks for me to create this design. I am anxiously awaiting the professional photographs taken with the babies - I will be excited to show those to you!
Maddy wants to show you how the nest looks "all dressed up" as a regular nest. If you want to make a real statement in your decor - this would do it for sure. My friend Mary borrowed this nest and filled it with Easter eggs - she displayed it on her dining room table - it was gorgeous! So the possibilities are endless~~

If you have noticed that I have not been around lately it is because the Gardener and I have been traveling (again!). We have just returned from a fabulous trip to the Canadian Rockies where we visited Calgary, Banff and Lake Louise. The Canadian Rockies must surely be one of the most beautiful places that God ever created~~ I can hardly wait to show you the beautiful photos. I am working on those photos now - (we have only been home for about 48 hours!!)

Thank you all so much for the amazing response to this nest give away. I am so touched that so many of you would want my little creations. The emails and comments that you sent to me were truly touching and they have meant the world to me. I want to share with you the little note that my friend Deb from Mosiac Magpie sent to me last night~~

"I just went over to visit the nesting post. Vicki - you have 275 entries on that post!!! With that kind of interest - You need to quit your day job and become a bird!"
(Deb - I am still laughing over that one!)
