And when we find it ... we want to accessorize it.
May I make a suggestion...
the "perfect" accessory
for that perfect "little black dress"...
knitted with a gorgeous, shimmery,
super soft

this beautiful wrap has that "wow factor"
when it comes to accessorizing your
holiday dress...
this beautiful yarn, (an Italian yarn,)
stands alone in its ability to shimmer and shine...
ohhhh, and the weight of this wrap
is PERFECT...
(you will love the way it hugs your shoulders)
in mingled shades of shimmery
black, pink, pale yellow, moss green...
each end of the wrap is accented with a beautiful
border design.
(it is magnificent!)
~~~
measurements...
length-90 inches
width -30 inches
this "one of a kind" knitted wrap
could be your most perfect accessory for the holidays.
You can find it here in my ETSY shop.
Speaking of yarn...
By now you must surely know that I am addicted to beautiful yarns. Irresistible, gorgeous yarns. And... even though I do not need any more yarn.... I just bought some. And,...it is SO beautiful, that I will most surely buy more.
My friend of many talents, Tanya Greb,
has branched out into designing her own yarns
in a magnificent array of beautiful colorways.
There are hand painted yarns,...
and then there are THESE hand painted yarns.
I want them all.
You can find these irresistible yarns
For us it is a year of firsts......
first Thanksgiving, first Christmas, first almost everything. We are making our way down this uncharted path, and I am happy to say that we are becoming stronger. The Gardener and I slipped away on a 10 day cruise.. the photo here was taken on the island of Curacao. I'll be posting photos from our travels on my
2 Bags Full Instagram page. You are invited to follow me there!
Several of you have written to me asking about the annual (well, almost annual) "Grow Your Blog party". Let me just say that I am sorry that I have let you down this year. Nothing has progressed this year. I am behind on the blog party, the "Kindness Quilt Project" is very much behind.... and I could go on and on and on.
This next year there WILL be a blog party. Most definitely. And...by spring the Kindness Quilt Project will progress. If you have ever suffered a terrible loss in your life then you know that for many months afterwards... your life is a just a hazy blur. Only now is that beginning to clear.
Thank you all for your continued support, I am still getting emails of love and support, and I am overwhelmed with your kindness.
I hope to have another blog post before the holidays...
xoxo
Your beautiful, shimmering wrap is indeed the perfect accompaniment to the little black dress; it is gorgeous. I have often thought about how you, your husband, your son and your sweet grand-girls were doing. It is an oft-impossible path to walk down, experiencing many first celebrations and everyday life without your loved one. Thinking of you all this Christmas time. Please take care.
ReplyDeleteHi dear Vicky, you may be behind but you are not out so keep on moving forward dear one. I pray you are gaining strength each and every day and all your family too. Your shawl is beautiful as are the colours. I too love yarn but am not nearly so good with using it as you are. I hope to improve over the coming years ;-)
ReplyDeleteKim' I totally understand about the set back a loss can be on us. I'm still not blogging lately since I lost my oldest daughter Nicole. I still think about her every day and it's been just over a year. How I miss that wonderful daughter...
ReplyDeleteYour little wrap has Wow Factor especially for that sexy little black dress but I haven't even tried on a cute little black dress in years.I just turned 71 yesterday. I'm just glad I'm still above ground, lol.
You haven't lost your knitting touch. It's been really nice hearing from you Vicki.
Hugs, Julia
The colors are awesome and it is a thing of beauty.
ReplyDeleteI am happy to read that you got away from your sorrows for a much needed vacation. The pain never goes away, but we learn to live with it.
Your wonderful knitted wrap is exquisite so of course it would sell right away. I'm happy to hear that Tanya is doing well. She stopped blogging a year ago so I often wonder about her. You have always done so much for so many. There's nothing wrong with slowing down and taking time to mourn and heal with your family. Take care of yourself. Hugs and blessings, Tammy
ReplyDeleteIf only I had a LBD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If only I owned a dress - LOL. That wrap is absolutely stunning and your local friend will look magnificent with it across her shoulders.
ReplyDeleteYes - those "firsts" ... so glad you're working your way through it all. It takes time. Just as you think you're doing as good as normal, BAM - something comes along to put you two steps behind. Don't beat yourself up over it. Just go with the flow and move forward.
Looking forward to all of your promises for 2018.
Your shawl is stunning - perfect for the little black dress! I'm so glad to hear that your and your hubby got away for much need geography therapy.....I have not experienced loss such as yours, but I am familiar with dark, difficult days...blessings and strength to you and your loved ones!
ReplyDeleteBlogging will always be there....and so will we. Be ever so gentle with yourself and know you are loved....
Your wrap is stunning! You’ve had a difficult year. Take all the time you and your family need.
ReplyDeleteI'm just happy to hear from you! Thanks for taking the time to share a post with us :)
ReplyDeleteHi Vicki!
ReplyDeleteI was so thrilled to see your blog in my in-box! Just yesterday morning I was thinking that as much as I love seeing your photos on Facebook and Instagram I miss your blog. You made my day with your lovely post.
I too am addicted to yarn! I am looking forward to Vogue Knitting Live NY in January where there are ball rooms filled with gorgeous yarn! Your wrap is gorgeous! I am not surprised that it sold quickly. By the way, we share a dream, I too dream of being a knitting designer. I am taking my first class in designing this January at Vogue Knitting Live.
I hope you have a wonderful day!
Terry
I am not in the least bit surprised to see that your beautiful wrap is going to a new home already! Funny - I've never owned the 'little black dress' which I suppose leaves me in the minority. You shouldn't worry over the grow your blog or the kindness projects - healing your heart and mind and being there with your family is far more important. Take all the time you need because those things will still be there, waiting for the day to come when you will take joy from them again.
ReplyDeleteLoved your knitting! Thank you for sharing this part of your life with us!
