I have so many things planned to knit for this expected little one - there are just not enough hours in the day! Does anyone besides me just wish that you could lock yourself in with a good cup of coffee, some great music and not have to answer to anyone or any thing - and just KNIT! That is me right now!!
I am going to be so anxious to show you the precious little things I am making when they are finished----.
Don't you just adore this beaded yarn from Tilli Thomas? I have knitted with this Flurries yarn many times before and it makes beautiful little treasures. (The only trouble with using this yarn - is that after the little clothing is made - I am meticulous about pushing every little single bead to the outside of the clothing so that it does not rub against the baby's skin. That can be a little time consuming!) (So many people have asked about the little dolls in this picture ---- they are Anthropologie Christmas ornaments that I bought last year. Aren't they just the cutest little Snow People? )
Stay tuned to see the latest developments from the "Pink" project. I will have a couple of postings coming up that I will be asking your help in - including one that has to do with a little knitted treasure that is BLUE!

Ooooh, I could sit and drool over those yarns all day long, they are gorgeous! I'd happily crochet with them (I am not much of a knitter), but I am sure that would work with those lovely yarns just as well.
That beaded yarn is beautiful! So much for my stash diet....
Pink knitting.... never happens in this house of 4 boys!
I am so excited for you. Pink is such a fun color. My cousins wife is having a little girl this spring, she will be welcomed into the world by her 3 brothers so we are all about Pink here as well.
I am so excited for you, a new grandbaby. I also wish we could lock ourselves in and knit to our hearts content.
Oh! Those yarns are gorgeous! I don't know how to knit ~ and I am just teaching myself how to crochet! I don't think I have ever seen any beaded yarn before ~ it will be so sweet for your new granddaughter!
Many Blessings!
Oh -- such beautiful shades of pink! Can't wait to see your treasures.
Exactly. Some day I am going to take a vacation where all I do is sit and knit and think about knitting!
Thx for the comment on my blog Vicki--ya know Cancer is just another bad thing in life that I have been blessed with so I can watch God work--and he has worked. I am glad I found your blog. Nothing more fun that knitting or crocheting for grandbabies--any babies for that matter.
beautiful, beautiful yarns...what a spoiled grandbaby she will be!
And I agree about being locking in a room to knit...with 3 children (5, 22 months and 1 month) I don't get much done at the moment.
I am loving the snowflakes nestled amongst all the perfect pink yarns. Your little grand-daughter-on-the-way is one lucky girl!
Oh my goodness that pink beaded yarn is so adorable...love it! Looking forward to seeing what you do!! Have fun!
I tot I'm the only one :) switching on the aircon n knit.
Look at all the PINK, is a baby girl sweetie ?
Vicki,
Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving such sweet comments. I too love Tilli Thomas's yarn Flurries. I've made numerous Beanies with this beautiful yarn. We do think alot alike in that I had to make sure every bead was on the outside of the hat before I could call it complete and gift worthy!
What beautiful yarn. What are those 3 gorgeous little dolls in front of the yarn?
love your photos and the yarn it looks so knitable I want some will have to finish these socks and get on to some nice knitting and I love your little dolls, I want to take photos like you

I was wondering about those dolls, too, very cute.
Wait until you see the little slippers. They are finished, but I am now sewing on the ruffle.
What a blessing this little one will have with you as her grammy.

Oh I can't wait to see what you knit! Love the beaded yarn! Marva
I just found your blog and signed on as a follower. I knit and I'm expecting a grandbaby in July. That pink yarn is yummy. I'm thinking pink. We will find out in about 3 more weeks. I can't wait to see what you make. A friend gave me a cute pattern for a knitted teddy bear. If you want a copy e mail me at hilliardcarolyn17@yahoo.com.
Thanks,
Carolyn
i love the beaded yarn...makes me wish my future kids are all girls so i can have hours of fun knitting little things out of that yarn for them!
I love this wool, I have never seen anything like this before!!
Hugs,

I just found your blog and signed on as a follower. I knit a little but I want to learn how to do it as well . The point is that there are never any knit threads in the shops where I live. Sorry.
Oh I love that yarn and to be honest I have never seen any like it before! I have four sons so I could have never gotten away with pink beaded yarn, but now, I have a grand daughter and pink beaded yarn can go into the stash! Love it!
Beaded yarn! Well, in some ways, I guess that removes some of the tedium from beaded knitting!
I want to knit something pink but since I don't know what my new grandbaby will be yet, I am playing it safe and knitting in green. But pink would be soooo lovely!
Okay I think I am in love with the pink yarn with...beads?
Can you tell me what brand it is?

You are so amazing!!!! How do you find the time to do everything. I may not knit, but crochet is just as addictive!!! I've actually been crocheting washcloths for a friend who makes soaps in her home. She sells the handmade washcloths with the handmade soap. It's fun but time consuming!!! Did Sharon show you the scarf I made for her with the yarn she got from Turkey??? It was simple, but it turned out really pretty.... Hope to hear from you soon. Jody Hammer
The pictures that you've taken with all your pink yarn are so decorative and pretty! It would make us all want to make something PINK! :)
yummm....love all those pink yarns! I could just look at them all day...
