Meet little baby Kerington Elizabeth

She is here~~~~
Shhh~~ be really, really quiet. We just got her to sleep! Tiptoe ever so quietly and I will show you pictures of her very first day.

Here she is just all brand new. Born at 3:17 this afternoon. We will call her Keri Beth.

She is holding on tight to her gb's finger. (She is still a little bit scared!)

Getting weighed in - (you know how we ladies hate getting weighed!) She screamed and screamed! She weighs 7 pounds and 6 ounces and is 20 inches long.

Her Daddy is calming her down. She remembers his voice and is soothed and quiet.

But not for long~~~! (She is all about the screaming!)

What do you think she is thinking? She likes being swaddled.

Daddy is telling her a little story about how happy he is to see her~~~.

Can you tell that I am just so proud and happy and blessed!

My first time to hold Keri Beth. I have been waiting so very long to do this!

She is looking at her beautiful Mommy!

Papaw and gb are so proud of our new little grand daughter. There is nothing like a little baby girl to make a Papaw smile so big!

The first "official" family portrait!

Bath time! Don't you just know that she HATED that! More screaming!!!

And then came the foot prints. And then the security band. Her Daddy said she wasn't even 1 hour old and she was already in jail. He said that he could tell - she was "going to be trouble!"

Finally - she is calm again!

Her gb swaddles her and makes her feel safe and warm.

Finally - she goes to sleep for a little bit.

Papaw takes a turn at holding her and loving her~~~

She is just not sure about this "birthday thing!" It has been a really rough day for this little girl!

This gb has lost her heart to this little wad of blanket and tiny, little fingers and toes.

To all of you who sent me blessings and prayers throughout this day - from the bottom of my heart I thank you. We are so thankful and humbled by the birth of this little miracle of God. Your prayers have meant the world to me. There is no way that I can ever tell you how much that I really do love you all~~~
Vicki

Keri Beth is adorable and definitely a heart stealer. They are so adorable and will grow up so very fast. You always love them and I would spend many a hour rocking my little ones. We would set in the rocking chair and read as they got older. Grandma and mommy both have rocking chairs even grandpa and daddy can rock that special little girl. Have a wonderful weekend and thank you for sharing the pictures. Your Missouri Friend.

Vicki,

Your post on my blog truly means a lot!

And, it's kind of weird to say, but since I "found" you in blogland, I just feel this affinity to you and yours as well. Sometimes we are blessed to just feel a certain "Something" for new folks in our lives!

You have such heart!

I know were just getting to know each other, but I truly am enjoying getting to know you and learning about your life.

I have good/local girlfriends and I have been blessed to live in a small town/community that has allowed me to make many friends, but I always feel that there is room for MORE in this life!

And Vicki? That grandbaby is gorgeous!!!
Do they live closeby? I hope so for your sake!

Oh,,,,,give her a big kiss and a little squeeze for me! I'm SO happy for you all!

Big hugs and talk soon!

**congratulations**

How wonderful to hear the news of your band new granddaughter. I just love the way you have shortened her name to Keri Beth.

Things they do to babies in the first few hours - no one this little bub made some very loud noises - one moment she is somewhere warm and safe then the next moment she is lying all alone on a metal tray!!

What wonderful blessings from God

May mum recover as quickly as possible :)
