Sacred Yarn Room Explosion!

The Sacred Yarn Room is a disaster! You have to promise not to show this picture to any one. (I am only sharing this with you - LOL!!) The baby shower is next weekend and I have been working day and NIGHT to get my projects finished. Obviously, I am not cleaning up as I go----

Last night I was up until 3 am sewing lace around the little princess coat that I knitted from the pink beaded yarn. Today - I am working on the "Moses in the bulrushes" basket that you see on the couch. We used that when my son was a newborn - (I will tell you that story later----).
~~~
There are just a few more days before the shower that I can devote to the projects and I am burning the candle at both ends. (If you guys were here - I would have a project for each and everyone of you!)
~~~
So - give me a few more days to wrap this all up and then I will show you the baby heirlooms, the decorations, the gifts, - the whole baby event! And then - after this is all over - you know what I have to do next? Somehow I have to put some order back into this Sacred Yarn Room!
~~~~
Make me feel better - tell me if your craft room ever gets out of control like this ----
Vicki
Oh Vicki, I have to laugh,seing and reading this,
oh you should see my crafting room,
it is alwayes a mess, --tells myself, -now it`s enough, clean it up,--i`m starting the whole procedure, and ends up working on a new project in the middle of all.........I just think ,that gives inspiration and good feeling, and if all was good looking and on its place, -I would hurry up to drag all out again.
I was so surprised when you answered me last night,( morning here)-- you have to take care, dear friend,- but I so understand all you want to finish before the shower, and I can`t wait to see, all you created, for this little new one.So wonderfull that you saved the wicker "bed".
Have a great friday,
Hugs ,Dorthe
Your sacred yarn room looks like the little areas of the rooms I store what I can in(small house+5 occupants=crowded). No worries you will have your peace and organization back once this flurry of shower related activity is over. Then you can straighten up just in time for the precious bundle to appear and make you drag things out again for more new ideas :)
Vicki,
No worries about your creative space needing attention. It happens, all the time! I had company over this evening and had to put all the projects that I've got sitting all over the house into the 'craft' room and shut the door! HA! Thank you for stopping by and leaving such kind and thoughtful words over at my blog. I've enjoyed reading about your getting ready for the baby shower. It sounds like it will be lots of fun. The baby basket is awsome!
If you know where everything is, then it isn't a mess!! I can only think if everything is neat and tidy:)
I have two obsessions knitting and reading.
Although I don't have a craft room I have 4 bookcases in our small apartment. In addition one easy chair and half the dining-room table act as storage for my books.
Knitting it stored in a large drawer and the corner of my bedroom, plus 4-5 projects littered around the sitting-room.
I have a large bag of 'junk' yarn I am donating to the school art class but have decided I must 'spring clean' my yarn stash as it has spread so far I have to leap over it as I move round the bedroom.
I also quilt but at present most of those supplies are carefully stashed in a large plastic bin!
Personally I think mess stimulates activity.
